Siddique Mahmudur Rahman, (1946) M.A. (English), B.Ed., is an editor, translator, philatelist author, and researcher.

Born in Jessore, started stamp collecting at the age of 8. Edited and published pen friendship magazine ‘Asian Voice’ from 1966 to 1980. Founder-member, Bangladesh Philatelic Society (BPS) in 1973, helped in publishing Bangladesh Philatelic News and Philatelic Journal of Bangladesh. Member of different sub-committees of First Bangladesh National Philatelic Exhibition in 1984. He was vice-President of Bangladesh National Philatelic Association from 1979 to 1998. He was a member of philatelic exhibition of First SAARC Summit held in Dhaka in 1991. Nominated member-secretary of the Souvenir Sub-committee of Bangladesh National Philatelic Exhibition 1992, and edited its Souvenir. Mr. Rahman was a Contributor of Scott Philatelic Catalogue (Bangladesh chapter) for six years.

Siddique Mahmudur Rahman is the pioneer of philatelic research in Bangladesh. His first book A History of Bangladesh Philately was published in 1986. He is the first to develop philatelic, data-base, multimedia, interactive software “Postage Stamps of Bangladesh” in 2002.
